My favorite subject hands-down is math. I love teaching it, I love learning it, and I love solving math problems. That being said, my educational background has been quite diverse. Though math was always a preferred subject of mine, I chose to study Health Sciences while attending Champlain College, before completing a Bachelor of Commerce at McGill University. Tutoring provides students who struggle and students who don’t get enough attention from teachers a way to get the extra help that they deserve. I approach each session with wisdom I’ve gained from my numerous years as a student and my four years as a tutor. First, I remember that everyone is different and learns differently. And second, I remember that my job is to help each student in a way that will make them understand the material, while ensuring they draw their own conclusions. Education is something that is very important to me. I strongly believe in the power of education, which is one of the main reasons I joined GradeSlam. I’ve been with GradeSlam since the beginning, and part of why I’ve stuck around so long is because of how affordable they have made tutoring for students. All people should have access to quality education, and with GradeSlam, they do. GradeSlam in one word? Innovative.
