Growing up, I was always interested in how things work and how they are built. Not so surprisingly, I decided to study engineering in university. I am currently in the process of completing my Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Concordia University. When I’m not busy studying or building engine exhaust systems for class, I love music (listening, writing, or playing!). Though I chose to specialize in a science-related field, I am also a certified English teacher and teach communicative arts to children in my spare time. I love being surrounded by education, and hope to become a teacher myself one day. One of my most cherished childhood memories was being tutored by my father, and improving so much in math that I won a math competition in my first year of junior high. I want to help other students reach their educational goals and experience a special moment like I did. Ultimately, education brings people together. There is a special connection between teachers and students that is different from anything else. GradeSlam in one word? Groundbreaking.
